Our Journey

Castles and Concerts invites you to join us as we set sail for Sicily aboard the Royal Clipper on October 15th, 2016. The Royal Clipper is a five-masted, fully rigged ship, boasting forty-two sails, a spacious open deck with two swimming pools, a spa, and three full bars to keep spirits high. We will set sail out of Civitavecchia, journeying through the Bay of Napoli, down the picturesque Amalfi Coast, through the Strait of Messina on our way to the lovely Taormina, and on to our grand celebration in old town Syracuse. Afterward, we will visit the Aeolian island of Lipari and sail past the Island of Stromboli, where we'll see the active volcano nicknamed "The Lighthouse of the Mediterranean." After this spectacular show, we will spend a relaxing day at sea, and end our journey where we began.

Our Maritime Home

By day, you may find yourself exploring the ruins of Pompeii, gliding into the Blue Grotto in Capri, or combing through the catacombs of the Parco Archeologico in Syracuse. Then again, perhaps you'll choose to relax in a cafe sipping Limoncello in Amalfi or wander through the famous shopping district in Taormina. At night, we'll host fabulous shows with local talent and our own Castles and Concerts entertainers including our new friends The Hearts of Romaine, a wildly irreverent musical trio, and master organist Jim Warren, who will perform for us at various grand cathedrals throughout the trip.
